Tampa Bay Full Moon Madness

A dark roasty porter body is the backbone for TBBC’s signature sub-tropical porter. The Full Moon Madness marks the 20th anniversary of TBBC.

Originating from Jack the Quaffer Porter recipe, Full Moon Madness was created to pay homage to the great city that has been the home and source of inspiration for TBBC for the last 20 years. Full moons are a sure sign of interesting things to come, and this brew is no different. Searching for a dark beer to drink in the Florida summer heat, and focusing on local flavors, the TBBC brewers were inspired to create this sub-tropical porter. Tampa is home to one of the
largest banana docks in the world, and to bring those banana characteristics to this dark beer they added hefeweizen yeast and created a beautiful blend of
banana, vanilla and roasted malts. When searching for a name for this concoction the Dobles looked to the significance a full moon has had in their lives and how
it has marked some of the most momentous occasions for TBBC. On July 31st, 2015 we celebrate the 20th anniversary of Tampa Bay Brewing Company, falling,
of course, on the full and continuing the madness!
