Beer Description

No bristlecones were harmed in the production of this award winning beer. Deep chocolate brown and an amber head, Bristlecone Brown Ale is a seasonal beer and available for a short time. We chose the name as a tribute to the regal Great Basin Bristlecone pine. Among these stately survivors is the 4,765 year-old Methuselah, the oldest living inhabitant of North America. Its exact location is kept secret as an older relative nicknamed “Prometheus” was unfortunately cut down in 1964. This particular long-living species is typically found in the higher elevations of Nevada, California and Utah’s Wasatch Range. Due to cold temperatures, high winds, and dry soils, these pines grow very slowly.
