Beer Description

Aged on spent whiskey oak, this traditional Flanders-Style Red ale starts by blending three years of Tarrytown Sour Ales and finishing with time.

Each year we take one batch of beer we think showcases the brewery’s direction and release a limited run of 144 bottles of Abbot’s Reserve. 2015 was our year of sours and it began with our Rockefeller Red Flanders-Style Red Ale. We then aged this blended 3 year sour for six months on whiskey oak before bottle conditioning for a full year. Tarrytown-grown hops and wild yeast native to our village celebrates Duncan’s Abbey’s anniversary in Tarrytown, NY. We hope you enjoy our special release and look forward to the next year together.
