Prestige is a blend of 24 month-old foederbier, spontaneously fermented in and blended from foeders IX, XI and XIV.
Some years ago we asked the team at Brouwerij Omer Vander Ghinste a question. What would happen if they brewed a higher-alcohol version of the Cuvée and aged it for longer? Well the rascals have gone and done it and now the beer is ready!
It has a deeper Brettanomyces character and an overall soft and fruity character. Sourness is here in plenty, just like the Cuvée Rouge, but the balance is finer and tipped more toward stone fruit.
