Beer Description
The 25th installment â thatâd be 2nd to LAST â in the Brewersâ Select Series is Yankee! No, this is not about baseball! For those of you just tuning in, the Brewerâs Select Series follows the NATO alphabet: Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, etc. Yankee is the letter âYâ.
Yankee is an âOld Aleâ and as such is expected to cellar quite nicely. Described by some as a âbaby barleywineâ, this beer is an Old Ale, 8.4% ABV with 51 IBU. Yankee is a full-bodied, mahogany ale with an intense malt aroma and flavor. Youâll find caramel, bread and fruit, with a touch of spice and smoke with a warm vinous finish. English East Kent Golding hops balance out this malty treasure!

As with all Brewersâ Select releases, Yankee was bottled in a very small run and will not be made again. Look for Yankee on draft at select finer restaurants and pubs and in bottles exclusively at the Weyerbacher Visitors Center!
