Spirit Description
Kahlúa is a coffee flavored liqueur produced in Mexico City. Arabica coffee beans are harvested, dried, and roasted before they are ground. Coffee is brewed then added to sugarcane spirit (along with vanilla and caramel coloring). Kahlúa was created in Mexico in 1936 and first introduced to the US in 1940. It is an essential ingredient in a Black Russian, White Russian, and Mudslide cocktails among many others
