Beer Description
A notch below IPA in bitterness and lets the malt do a little more of the talking. A blend of several caramel malts provides a slightly sweet malt flavor, and Fuggle hops give it just enough bitterness to keep you awake.
The English have made a science of dividing pale ales into narrowly defined sub-styles β from ordinary bitter to IPA, with several steps in between. Ours is best described as an Extra Special Bitter (ESB), as itβs a notch below IPA in bitterness and lets the malt do a little more of the talking. A blend of several caramel malts provides a slightly sweet malt flavor, and Fuggle hops give it just enough bitterness to keep you awake.
