Aged for 10 months in Heaven Hill bourbon barrels.
Aged for 10 months in Heaven Hill bourbon barrels. Doppel bock (literally " double bock") is a stronger and darker version of the traditional German Bockbier. It is exceptionally malty with very little bitterness. The aroma has notes of dark fruit (fig, raisin), caramel and bourbon. The flavor notes are of sweet malt, dark fruit,oak, vanilla and bourbon. The body is light for such a high AVB. Pleasant lingering sweetness and warming.
